Yawd Lynk was founded in 2005 by Tony Roy, Tommy Hanson, Eric “Spiduki” McDermott, Neil, and Kenny, but as time passed members changed. Today, Tony Roy is the only original member of Yawd Lynk. The other members have been replaced by Earl Michelin, Trevor Hibbert, and Paapa Nyarkoh. Yawd Lynk has performed at various venues in and around the DC Metro Area and up and down the east coast. Yawd Lynk has had the privilege of opening for Alpha Blondy at the Howard Theatre as well as Michael Rose and Sister Carol. They also opened for Buju Banton at The Crossroads. They play annually at the DC Cherry Blossom Festival and the Linganore Winecellars Summer Reggae Music, Wine and Arts Festival.
For the past 13 years Yawd Lynk has been keeping reggae music alive in the DC Metro area and is considered one of the top reggae bands in the area.
